First of all salutations at the feet of Goddess Saraswati. Respected principal sir, dear teachers and classmates Good Morning to all of you. My Name is Navdeep Singh. I am a student of class 10. Today, on the occasion of which we have been present in this school courtyard, it is very important for us. Because on this day on 26 July 1999, the Indian Army won the Kargil war from the Pakistan Army. Today I am present in front of you with a speech on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas.

Information About Kargil 


26 July 1999 was a day when India won the conflict with Pakistan in Kargil. From that every year this day is praised as Kargil Vijay Diwas. In this conflict, the bold troopers of India battled with the adversaries bravely even in terrible weather patterns.

Kargil, situated on the boundary of India and Pakistan, is the world's most elevated milestone with the most obviously awful weather patterns. In 1999, this war occurred on a slope named Tiger of India and Pakistan, which is situated a good ways off of 205 km from Srinagar. The climate at Tiger Hill is freezing, temperature of this slope drops to - 45°C around evening time.

Now let me walk you guys on the scene of that day.

Throughout the colder time of year of 1998-99, Pakistan subtly began terminating its powers fully intent on conquering the Siachen Glacier. Alongside this, Pakistan needed to determine the issue of Kashmir by making global strain.


The Siachen Glacier is an exceptionally high spot, so it was undeniably challenging for the Indian Army to take its firearms and so on to that spot. Be that as it may, the Indian Army is known for its courage and it didn't surrender.

Pakistani soldiers at first moved along the Line of Control and entered the Indian controlled region. India confronted them intensely and soon because of the tension of the developing Indian armed force and strain from America, Pakistan needed to in reverse its military. With this, the Indian Army recovered the regions which Pakistan was attempting to catch.

This battle by the Indian Army was named Operation Vijay and this war at last finished on 26 July 1999 following a sum of 2 months and India won. this day is praised as Kargil Vijay Diwas.
